Who We Are

Faith Community Church is a "community of believers committed to sharing words of life through lives of love." We are a non-denominational congregation committed to sharing Jesus as Lord and Savior, keeping the Bible our standard of truth, and believing that loving one another as He loves us is the best way to draw others to a saving knowledge of Jesus. We've developed a genuine concern for others in the world that need to hear the gospel and are compelled to send our regular short-term mission teams as well as fund, support, and serve missionaries both globally in Haiti and East Asia and locally in Arizona.

We believe in accessible, informal, and heartfelt worship that you'll find easy to participate in each week. Copies of our Essentials of Doctrine Statement and Bylaws can be found at the Welcome Center. Please stop by to pick up a copy and learn more about Faith Community Church.

What We Believe

We believe agreement on these doctrinal truths is essential. We are united on these beliefs in thought and purpose. In the essentials we have unity. In non-essentials, we have liberty. In all things, we have liberty. In all things, we have charity.

  • The Scripture of the Old and New Testaments is the divinely inspired, inerrant word of God; it is the divine rule of the Christian faith and practice.
  • There is only one God, who is infinitely perfect - the Sovereign One over all things.
  • There are three persons in the Godhead - The Father, The Son, and The Holy Spirit - Undivided in essence and Co-equal in power and glory.
  • In the person of Jesus Christ, dwelt both natures (Divine and Human) He is truly and properly God and truly and properly man.
  • Because of Satan, the fallen angel, the world is now deceived. Satan's activities are limited by the authority of God, and in due time he and his followers will be cast into the Lake of Fire to be tormented forever.
  • Our first parents, by disobedience, fell from their original state of purity - thus all men are born in sin - are totally depraved and in need of a Savior.
  • By the atoning sacrifice of Jesus Christ, man is redeemed from his depravity and justified by Faith in Jesus Christ. When he is convicted of sin by the Holy Spirit, confesses his sins to Christ and received through Faith the forgiveness of his sins, he is adopted into the family of God.
  • In our union with Christ we have received the benefits of salvation.
  • It is the privilege of all believers to progress in sanctification - growing in the grace and knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ, and that through the indwelling of the Holy Spirit, believers receive power to live an effective and overcoming Christian life.
  • Jesus Christ will return bodily for His Church, which will be spotless, glorious, and without wrinkle.
