The Share the Love’s campaign has its origins in 2022 with the congregation's desire to extend our reach beyond our capacity as a small, but vibrant and committed congregation. We came up with the idea of a challenge. For every dollar raised, we would donate 25 cents. We chose 3 organizations to be the recipients of our campaign that year, which ran in February, leading us to the Share the Love: Neighbors Helping Neighbors theme. In 2024, our church increased our matching contribution to 50 cents for every dollar raised.
Trajectory:
In 2022: We raised $4,100 raised, added a $1,000 match from FCCNA, for a total $5100 divided equally among Berkshire Food Project, Louison House, and the Al Nelson Friendship Food Pantry.
In 2025: We raised $6,050 raised, added a $3,025 match from FCCNA for a total of $9,075 divided equally among Berkshire Food Project, Louison House, and Greenagers at Many Forks Farm. This more than doubled our impact compared to the first year of Share the Love
Over the first four years of the annual Share the Love campaign, we have raised a total of $27,225 to benefit four non-profits in Northern Berkshire—Berkshire Food Project, Louison House, the Al Nelson Friendship Food Pantry, and Greenagers at Many Forks Farm.
In 2025 we added a new innovation to Share the Love--raffle prizes donated by local businesses and “tabling” at two local businesses to raise community awareness of the Share the Love campaign and hand out donation cards.
